Before receiving our computers, we worked on other types of ‘coding’ without a computer. One student that has finally received a designation (1701) and who rarely engages in classroom activities, was caught creating this on graph paper on his own.
Our students are fairly low academically. We are using Studio Code and it has a great built in assessment to it. It allows us to know where the students are stuck and if they are really getting it or not.
